Educational Trips in Hyogo Prefecture
The motto of Hyogo Prefecture in educational trips is “always smiling” – we hope that host schools will welcome their guests with great smiles, share happy moments, and say good-bye with good memories. Hyogo Prefecture has promoted high-quality exchanges full of educational value, which will result in satisfaction for both guests and hosts.

For open-minded young people, it is invaluable to meet people from different countries and to be exposed to cultural diversity and new ways of thinking. It leads them to respect other cultures and broaden their worldviews.
We also hope that young people from abroad will increase their interest in Japan and Japanese culture through the exchanges and visit Hyogo Prefecture again in the future.
If you are interested in an educational trip to Hyogo Prefecture, don’t hesitate to contact our coordinator and planner for educational exchange programs.
We would like to ask you…
We kindly ask for your cooperation in order to realize a meaningful exchange.
(1) Please send your application form to our office 2 months in advance! You are required to fill in Application forms 1, 2 and 3 and send them to us together with a list of all participants and schedule. We can accept the list of participants and schedule when the schedule has been finalized. (2) Normally, Japanese schools arrange the schedule for a whole academic year before the new school year begins. That is why we need to contact schools as early as possible to arrange the educational exchange in the course of the academic year. The following periods are difficult for schools to welcome guests.
* In Japan, schools are on long vacations in summer (July 21-August 31), winter (December 25-January 7) and spring (March 24 -April 7). During the vacations, it is very difficult for them to arrange exchange activities, but you are sometimes allowed to visit school facilities and see students do club activities (bukatsudo). Please feel free to contact us! (3) We would be grateful if you would use accommodations inside Hyogo Prefecture, because they are located close to your host school. We look forward to hearing from you! Example of an Exchange Program at a High School

In addition, programs can be designed upon your request: visiting classrooms while students have lessons, tasting Japanese school meals, playing games and sports together, and having a cultural exchange party together with Japanese students.
