International Exchange

Promotion of international exchange

We promote variety of activities for international exchange with nations and

regions in the world, especially with 7 sister regions and other friendship

regions in France and Germany.

Furthermore, we make efforts to expand international exchange through

homestay program, promotion of receiving educational to Japan from China, and

activities by HIA Friendship Member.

Partial introduction of our activities

1. Dispatching Citizens delegation to sister regions

We dispatch delegations consisting of Hyogo citizens

such as the members of HIA friendship club.

2. Hyogo Godwill Exchange Cruise

We cooperate in the implementation of Hyogo Godwill Exchange Cruise

to China by Hyogo Meaning of Life Creation Association.　

Nearly five hundred participants of different generations interact

with each other at sea,and learn about different cultures in China.

This activity is held in Autumn every two years. (Next held in 2011)

3. Receiving a Citizen's Delegation from Guangdong Province

The people of Guangdong Province visit Hyogo and have exchange

with our citizens.

4. Receiving a Student Delegation from Guangdong Province

University students from Guangdong province visit Hyogo and

have exchange with our citizens.

5. Donating a Friendship Garden to Hainan Province

We donated the Hainan-Hyogo Friendship Garden located in

the International Friendship Village which was prepared as a place

for introducing the characteristic cultures of our regions.

6. Volunteer Host Family Program

If you register to be an HIA host family, you can promote mutural

understanding with foreigners visiting Hyogo through

the experience of welcoming them as a member of your family and living

with them for a short time.

7.Receiving educational trips to Japan from overseas

We support the exchange of young people from overseas and Hyogo to

deepen mutural understanding by receiving educational trips to

Japan from overseas

8.HIA Friendship Club

We have organized HIA Friendship Club and hold a variety of events for

members to contribute to their international understanding.
